We are currently seeking a Solutions Architect – Microsoft Dynamics 365 to support a high-impact CRM modernization project with the City of Atlanta. Position Overview: The Solutions Architect will lead the design, implementation, and technical oversight of the City of Atlanta’s newly deployed Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM platform. This role is responsible for defining architectural strategy, customizing the Dynamics 365 environment, and ensuring successful project execution aligned with city goals. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, along with excellent communication and leadership skills. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements. • Translate functional needs into scalable technical solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365. • Create architecture diagrams, integration workflows, and data models to guide solution implementation. Implementation & Customization • Configure, tune, and optimize Dynamics 365 modules to support city operations. • Integrate Dynamics 365 with other enterprise systems to ensure seamless data exchange and functionality. Project Management & Execution • Support project planning, milestone tracking, and delivery timelines. • Work closely with the project manager to communicate risks, resolve issues, and meet project goals. • Lead testing, training, deployment, and post-go-live support activities. Technical Leadership & Innovation • Mentor developers and junior staff in Dynamics 365 development and best practices. • Stay current on platform updates, tools, and enterprise application trends. • Promote technical excellence, reusability, and maintainability across solutions. Client Engagement & Support • Act as a technical advisor and point of contact for client stakeholders. • Conduct workshops, demos, and solution walkthroughs to educate and align with business units. • Build strong relationships to ensure ongoing success and user adoption. Minimum Qualifications: Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. Experience: • Minimum of 5 years of experience implementing and customizing Microsoft Dynamics 365. • Proven success in leading Dynamics 365 projects through full lifecycle development. • Experience with modules such as Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations. Technical Skills: • Strong proficiency in Dynamics 365 customization, configuration, and extension. • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI). • Experience with integration frameworks and data migration strategies. Soft Skills: • Analytical thinker and effective problem solver. • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills. • Strong organizational and time management abilities. • Collaborative team player with leadership capabilities. Preferred Certifications: • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Customer Service Functional Consultant Associate This is a hybrid role based in Atlanta, GA, and is open to both W-2 employees and 1099 contractors. The estimated assignment duration is from June 16, 2025, through December 12, 2025. Only local candidates will be considered due to on-site requirements.
