This role demands a deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and modern cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities: Design and architect scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-native applications and services using microservices patterns. Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and architectural principles across development teams. Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to support the development lifecycle. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and other engineering leaders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Oversee the development and deployment pipelines (CI/CD) for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Conduct architectural reviews, performance tuning, and security assessments of existing and new systems. Develop proofs of concept and prototypes to validate architectural decisions and explore new technologies. Document architectural designs, decision logs, and technical specifications clearly and concisely. Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), serverless computing, and DevOps practices. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in an architectural or lead technical role. Proven experience designing and building large-scale, distributed systems and microservices architectures. Extensive hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including services like compute, storage, databases, and networking. Deep understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration. Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, or Node.js. Strong knowledge of API design principles, RESTful services, and event-driven architectures. Experience with database technologies, including relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra). Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills. Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices.
