Our client is seeking a visionary Principal Software Architect with extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable cloud-native solutions. This critical role, based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma , will be instrumental in shaping the future of our client's technology stack, driving innovation, and ensuring the robustness and efficiency of their enterprise-level applications. The ideal candidate is a thought leader with a proven ability to translate complex business requirements into elegant, efficient, and secure architectural designs. Responsibilities: Lead the design and architecture of cloud-based applications and services, focusing on scalability, reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness. Define architectural standards, best practices, and technology roadmaps for cloud adoption and modernization initiatives. Evaluate and recommend appropriate cloud technologies, frameworks, and tools to meet business needs. Collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, guiding them in adopting architectural principles and best practices. Conduct architectural reviews, code reviews, and performance assessments to ensure adherence to design standards and identify areas for improvement. Develop proof-of-concepts and prototypes to validate architectural approaches and explore new technologies. Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with architectural decisions. Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, industry trends, and competitive landscapes. Communicate architectural vision and decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Qualifications: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a senior architectural role. Deep expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including services like compute, storage, networking, databases, and serverless technologies. Proven experience in designing and implementing microservices architectures, event-driven systems, and CI/CD pipelines. Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C#). Experience with distributed systems, database design (SQL and NoSQL), and API design. Excellent understanding of security principles and best practices in cloud environments. Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
