We’re seeking a Senior System Administrator / Project Engineer to serve as a trusted advisor for assigned clients, ensuring their IT environments are aligned with modern standards and optimized for stability, security, and efficiency. You’ll play a proactive, consultative role (part senior engineer, part vCIO) driving best practices, security compliance, and infrastructure maturity. What You’ll Do: • Assess client IT environments and align them to security and infrastructure standards • Implement IT best practices across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, servers, and networks • Act as a vCIO/vCTO, building relationships and advising on technology roadmaps • Perform client onboarding projects and quarterly runbook updates • Conduct proactive backup and disaster recovery testing • Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements • Reduce recurring support issues by stabilizing and optimizing systems • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery What You Bring: • Strong expertise with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Teams, and SharePoint • Deep experience with Microsoft Server and domain administration • Solid networking background (firewalls, switches, VPNs) • Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across servers and infrastructure • Service-oriented mindset with strong communication and client relationship skills • Ability to balance technical depth with consultative, business-focused advisory work • Prior MSP experience required Why You’ll Love It Here: • Competitive base salary: $120K – $130K DOE with annual review process • Full benefits package: medical (3 plan options), dental, vision, life & disability coverage • Simple IRA with employer match up to 3% • Generous PTO + paid holidays • Certification reimbursement & education assistance • Legal & identity theft protection, pre-tax benefit options, HSA plans • A culture of growth, teamwork, and proactive IT delivery
