Position: Senior System Administrator (MSP Projects Team) Senior System Administrator (MSP Projects Team) What You’ll Do • Serve as the escalation point for complex systems, server, and network issues across multiple clients • Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructures, including Azure, M365, Active Directory, virtualization, and security solutions • Work directly with client leadership, providing consultative guidance and aligning technology with business goals • Lead technical projects such as cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and security hardening initiatives • Troubleshoot advanced networking issues (firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, routing) and optimize environments for reliability and performance • Mentor and support junior engineers, helping elevate team performance and documentation standards • Proactively identify risks, recommend improvements, and ensure adherence to industry best practices What You Bring • 5–8+ years of IT systems administration experience, with at least 3+ in an MSP environment (required) • Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, M365, and Windows Server environments • Strong networking skills (firewalls, switches, VLANs, VPNs) and familiarity with tools like Sonic Wall, Fortinet, or Cisco • Hands-on experience with VMware/Hyper-V and cloud-hosted infrastructures • Ability to translate technical solutions into business value for non-technical stakeholders • Strong communication skills and consultative approach to client engagement • Relevant certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, CompTIA Security+) preferred but not required What We Offer • Medical, dental, and vision insurance with multiple plan options • Employer-paid life & disability coverage, plus voluntary add-ons • Retirement plan with company match • Generous PTO and paid holidays • Certification reimbursement and ongoing education support • HSA & pre-tax benefit options • Legal and programs Seniority level • Mid-Senior level Employment type • Full-time Job function • Information Technology Industries • IT Services and IT Consulting Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Bowman Williams by 2x #J-18808-Ljbffr
