Our client, a leading digital transformation consultancy, is seeking an exceptional Principal Architect - Cloud Native Solutions for a fully remote position. This role is critical in designing and implementing scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-native architectures for our diverse clientele. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of microservices, containerization, DevOps principles, and various cloud platforms, with a proven ability to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions. You will be a trusted advisor, guiding teams and clients through the intricacies of modern application development and cloud deployment. Responsibilities: Lead the architectural design and implementation of cloud-native solutions, leveraging microservices, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless technologies. Develop and articulate comprehensive architectural blueprints, technical strategies, and roadmaps for cloud adoption and modernization initiatives. Advise clients on best practices for cloud infrastructure, security, data management, and application modernization on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Define and enforce architectural standards, patterns, and guidelines to ensure consistency, scalability, and maintainability across projects. Collaborate closely with development teams, DevOps engineers, and product managers to ensure successful implementation of architectural designs. Evaluate and recommend appropriate cloud services, open-source technologies, and third-party tools to meet project requirements. Conduct technical assessments, identify areas for improvement, and propose innovative solutions to address complex challenges. Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning. Stay at the forefront of cloud technology trends, container orchestration, and distributed systems, bringing new ideas and approaches to the organization. Drive the adoption of automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to streamline development and deployment processes. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 10+ years of experience in software architecture and development, with a significant focus on cloud-native technologies and distributed systems. Proven expertise in designing and implementing microservices architectures, event-driven systems, and API-first strategies. Hands-on experience with containerization platforms (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes). Deep knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their core services. Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps principles, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible). Experience with various data stores (relational, NoSQL, caching) and messaging queues. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical and business leaders.
