Job Summary This is a full-time exempt position. The primary responsibility is serving as a Floating Branch-Level Water Mitigation Project Manager, stepping in to support branch operations during workload surges or staffing shortages. This includes managing water mitigation and emergency services projects, supervising branch technicians, and assisting with local sales and marketing efforts. As a secondary responsibility, the position will also serve as an NRT Mitigation Project Manager, overseeing large-loss and catastrophic response projects nationwide. This role requires extensive travel, hands-on field management, and direct oversight of project teams. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Branch-Level Water Mitigation (Primary Duty) • Respond to local water mitigation and emergency service jobs. • Hire, train, and supervise mitigation and emergency service technicians. • Coordinate and manage branch-level projects. • Prepare estimates using Xactimate, Symbility, or other estimating platforms. • Track project milestones and documentation in internal and external systems. • Communicate directly with insurance adjusters and decision-makers. • Conduct local sales and marketing activities to generate leads. • Support branch financial operations, including budgeting, invoicing, and collections. • Manage subcontractor relationships within the branch market. National Response Team (Secondary Duty) • Respond to mitigation and emergency service projects on a national scale. • Supervise and train mitigation technicians during deployments. • Coordinate rapid response to large-loss projects. • Scope new projects for estimating and planning. • Manage projects using T&M, Xactimate, and other estimating platforms. • Provide daily and weekly updates to materially interested parties (MIPs). • Negotiate estimates with adjusters, TPAs, and consultants. • Manage project budgets, invoicing, and collections. • Oversee subcontractors and approve/deny contractor invoices. • Build and maintain subcontractor and vendor relationships. • Lead inspections, ensuring compliance with codes, safety standards, and client requirements. • Monitor schedules, budgets, and quality to achieve project goals. • Proactively minimize company risk exposure. Qualifications • Associate’s degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent combination of education and experience. • 3–5 years of restoration or project management experience. • IICRC certifications: WRT, CDS, and AMRT required. • Proficiency in T&M Pro, Xactimate, MICA, Matterport, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to interpret technical documents, write reports, and engage effectively with clients and teams. • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to dynamic project conditions. Travel Requirements • Branch-level assignments may involve regional travel. • Extensive travel required for CAT events, large-loss commercial projects, and NRT operations. Physical Requirements • Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed. • Regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs (heavier with assistance). • Ability to carry and set up a 20’ ladder. • Frequent work in damaged properties with exposure to water, fire, or storm loss conditions. Work Environment Work is performed in both office and field settings, often under high-pressure conditions in properties affected by catastrophic damage. The role requires strong leadership, quick decision-making, and adaptability.
