Our client is a fast-growing SaaS company seeking a Lead Cloud Solutions Architect with a strong DevOps focus to join their fully remote engineering team. You will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). This position demands a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in cloud architecture, DevOps methodologies, and automation. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud architecture and DevOps. You should have extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring/logging solutions. Your responsibilities will include architecting cloud environments, defining best practices for development and deployment, automating infrastructure provisioning and management, and ensuring the security and compliance of cloud resources. A deep understanding of microservices architecture and modern application development practices is essential. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures on AWS, Azure, and/or GCP. Develop and enforce DevOps best practices, including CI/CD, IaC, and automated testing. Architect and manage container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. Implement and manage robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems. Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability in the cloud. Define and implement cloud security policies, procedures, and best practices. Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Chef. Lead architectural reviews and provide technical guidance to engineering teams. Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends. Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application deployment issues. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure design, implementation, and management. Proven expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible). Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps). Deep understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash). Familiarity with microservices architectures and their deployment patterns. Excellent understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and monitoring tools. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives in a remote setting.
