In this position, you will contribute to the mission of a global leader in engineering and IT solutions, renowned for delivering secure, scalable systems that empower enterprise decision-making, data-driven innovation, and digital transformation. Program: Dept. of Defense Clearance: Secret clearance Location: Northern Virginia, remote schedule with occasional on-site requirements. Pay: Highly competitive, based on compensation Terms: 18+ month engagement, high likelihood of extension Key Responsibilities: Custom scripting/coding Functional knowledge of current DevOps best practices Experience working within an Agile environment and working with product management Implement automation and workflows for IaC within AWS environment. Work with APIs to retrieve and process data efficiently. Deploy and manage data infrastructure in cloud environments (AWS required). Apply DevOps/GitOps practices Ensure systems and processes comply with relevant government certifications and security standards (e.g., STIG). Required Qualifications: Hands-on development/custom scripting experience with one or more of the following languages: C, C++, .NET, Java, Go, R, or similar AWS, Azure, or GovCloud experience IaC solutions (terraform/terragrunt preferred) Kubernetes (EKS preferred) Gitlab CI Command Line Interface Employment of Bastion Hosts for cloud ops and deployment, preferred TCP/IP networking expertise Experience with DOD network and cloud operations (BCAP, Impact Level control sets). Soft Skills: Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot data flow and pipeline issues. Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Adaptability: Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies as needed. Education and Experience: Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: 2-4+ years in software engineering, DevOps, SRE, or a related role.
