Highbury Defense Group is seeking a DevOps Engineer with an active U.S. security clearance to design and implement automated solutions for containerized web applications for the Department of Defense. The position is based in San Diego, California, with a salary range of $100,000 to $130,000.
Job Description: Design and implement innovative technologies for automating, integrating, and delivering containerized web applications and services for the Department of Defense (DoD) Day-to-day efforts include working with highly talented professionals and subject matter experts to design, implement, and sustain mission-critical software systems that provide US Navy warfighters with the tools and resources for successfully planning and executing missions Required Qualifications: Currently hold an active U.S. security clearance or be able to obtain one CompTIA Security+ Certified Demonstrated 2-5 years DevOps experience with: Containerization (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Rancher) Infrastructure-as-Code (i.e., Ansible, Vagrant, Terraform, CloudFormation) CI/CD automation tools (i.e., GitLab, Jenkins, AWS Code Build, Azure Pipelines) Linux operating systems (i.e., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) Automation and Scripting (i.e., Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.) Cyber security practices (i.e., Active Directory, HBSS, etc.) Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent Demonstrated experience with : Cloud computing infrastructure or development (i.e., AWS, Microsoft Azure) Full-stack software development (i.e., Java, .NET, JavaScript, SQL) Utilizing Atlassian suite or equivalent (i.e., JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket) Salary at Highbury Defense is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $100,000-130,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Highbury Defense’s total compensation package for employees.
