Position Overview FDH Infrastructure Services, an industry leader in engineering, construction, and field services, is seeking a Data Science Developer. In this role, you will create production-ready Python code to build front and back-end infrastructure that delivers key insights to our clients. You will work within a cross-functional team that includes engineers, data scientists, GIS analysts, and more, ensuring robust, accurate, and timely solutions. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain APIs and analytic modules within an existing Python-based data processing framework. • Ensure solutions align with department and domain architecture. • Work in a cross-functional Agile Scrum team to design, develop, test, and maintain solutions. • Coordinate with team members to plan, build, and test solutions and automation tools. • Build, maintain, and improve the existing code base while ensuring the robustness and accuracy of solutions through testing and review. • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, contribute to a collaborative team environment, and communicate effectively with all levels of management and external contacts. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, certifications, training, and work experience. • 2+ years of relevant Python (or C++, Java, etc.) development experience. • Strong Python knowledge with proficiency in using version tracking software (Git, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket). • Experience in managing team workflow using tools such as Atlassian products or Azure DevOps. • Familiarity with developer toolsets including source control, code reviews, unit testing, and Agile principles. • Ability to collaborate on multiple projects and meet deadlines. • Ability to obtain a Top Secret government security clearance. Preferred Qualifications • Familiarity with Azure cloud environments. • Experience in developing API infrastructure using FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks. • Experience with dataset handling using libraries such as Pandas and Numpy. • Experience with development tools like Docker and Jenkins. • Experience with SQL databases and SQL development (e.g., SQLAlchemy). • Experience in building ETL processes and app development. • Familiarity with full cycle hardware/software development projects and CI/CD practices. • Knowledge of statistics, modeling, and data analysis. • Experience in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or other physical sciences.
