We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative who will play a key role in supporting both our marketing efforts and the outside sales team. This position focuses primarily on providing outstanding customer service, nurturing inbound leads, and occasionally making sales over the phone. The ideal candidate will also assist outside sales representatives by providing administrative and sales support, ensuring smooth collaboration between inside and outside sales teams. Key Responsibilities • Customer Service Support: Respond to inbound inquiries from customers, resolve issues, and provide timely follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction. Assist customers in navigating our products/services and answer any questions they may have. • Sales Support: Make sales over the phone by engaging customers with product information, answering questions, and closing deals when appropriate. Utilize sales scripts and product knowledge to influence purchase decisions. • Support for Outside Sales Representatives: Collaborate with outside sales reps to ensure smooth coordination between inside and outside sales teams. Assist with scheduling meetings, following up on leads, and providing any relevant customer information or documentation needed for field sales efforts. • Marketing Assistance: Assist the marketing team by executing email campaigns, managing promotional activities, and distributing marketing materials to clients. Ensure that all marketing communications are consistent and aligned with sales objectives. • Lead Nurturing: Maintain contact with qualified leads generated by marketing, providing them with relevant information, updates, and promotions. Follow up on inbound inquiries to keep prospects engaged and move them through the sales pipeline. • Order Processing & Follow-ups: Help customers place orders over the phone, and provide status updates for pending orders. Work with fulfillment teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products. • Campaign Tracking & Feedback: Work with marketing to track the success of campaigns, gather customer feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement. Provide insights to marketing on customer pain points and objections to help refine future messaging and campaigns. • Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, leads, and sales activities in CRM software. Share key insights about customer preferences, feedback, and sales opportunities with both sales and marketing teams. • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with both the sales and marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging, smooth customer handoff between teams, and alignment on goals and strategies. Qualifications & Skills • Experience: 1-2 years in customer service, inside sales, or marketing support. Prior experience working with both inside and outside sales teams is a plus. • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfort with engaging customers over the phone and handling sales-related inquiries. • Customer-Focused: Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service. Ability to build rapport with customers and resolve issues effectively. • Marketing & Sales Tools: Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and marketing platforms. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). • Organizational Skills: Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail. Ability to track leads, sales progress, and collaborate across multiple teams. • Sales & Persuasion: Basic understanding of sales processes with the ability to suggest products, close sales, and handle objections. Preferred Qualifications • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred, but not required. • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with [industry] (e.g., software, tech, healthcare, etc.) is advantageous. • Experience Supporting Outside Sales: Prior experience supporting outside sales teams with scheduling, follow-up, and client relationship management is a plus.
