Our client, a cutting-edge technology firm specializing in scalable cloud solutions, is looking for a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our distributed engineering team. This role is crucial for designing, implementing, and maintaining our robust cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. You will be instrumental in automating deployment pipelines, managing infrastructure as code, and fostering a culture of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) across our development lifecycle. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible). Your responsibilities will include optimizing cloud resource utilization, implementing monitoring and alerting systems, troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, and collaborating closely with software development teams to streamline the release process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scripting, system administration, and a passion for leveraging automation to solve challenging operational problems. This is a fully remote role, demanding excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a geographically dispersed team. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated software deployment and release management. Configure and manage container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. Develop and maintain robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems. Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application performance issues. Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth and efficient software delivery. Implement and enforce security best practices for cloud environments. Automate operational tasks and processes using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash). Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry best practices. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Systems Engineering roles. Extensive experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP). Proficiency with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). Strong experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible). Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI). Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go). Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote setting.
