Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join their fully remote, innovative IT and Software team. This role is pivotal in shaping and maintaining our client's robust cloud infrastructure, enabling rapid and reliable software delivery. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automating, scaling, and optimizing cloud-based systems, particularly within AWS or Azure environments. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between development and operations, ensuring the highest levels of system availability, performance, and security. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment of applications. Implement and manage containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for application deployment and orchestration. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability and optimal performance. Develop and manage automated scripting solutions for system administration, configuration management, and operational tasks. Implement and maintain robust security practices within the cloud environment, including identity and access management, vulnerability scanning, and incident response. Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline the software development lifecycle and improve deployment efficiency. Define and implement logging, monitoring, and alerting strategies for all infrastructure components. Contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of the cloud infrastructure. Stay current with emerging DevOps tools, technologies, and best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 7 years of experience in DevOps engineering, systems administration, or software development with a focus on infrastructure automation. Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, including services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, AKS, or EKS. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. Strong experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell). Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and monitoring tools. Experience with version control systems, particularly Git. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment.
