Key Responsibilities: The System/Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of our systems, which includes servers, networks, security, backups, and cloud services. • Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including hardware, system software, applications, and all configurations. • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. • Install and integrate new server hardware and applications, keeping systems updated with the latest software patches. • Administer and maintain virtualized environments (e.g., Hyper-V, Citrix) and cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS). • Monitor network performance and security to identify and resolve issues proactively, test for weaknesses, and ensure network availability. • Troubleshoot network and system problems reported by end-users, resolving hardware and software issues. • Perform regular data backups and disaster recovery operations. • Manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords, particularly within Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra. • Implement and maintain security measures, including anti-virus, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems. • Analyze and recommend changes to improve system and network configurations, determining hardware and software requirements. • Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of the network and system infrastructure. Required Qualifications: • Technical skills: • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server and client operating systems. • Experience with Linux administration is a plus. • Familiarity with Sonicwall or similar networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls). • Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP) and services (DNS, DHCP). • Experience with virtualization and cloud technologies. • Experience managing and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory/Entra. • Familiarity with security tools and best practices. • Soft skills: • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Experience: • 5+ years of experience in a system or network administration role. Education: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
