Job Code: PA 777189 Job Title: DOH - Architect (SSRS/Power BI) Client Job ID: N/A Location: Onsite 10 Pickering Way, Exton, PA 19341-1310 Duration: 8 months 4 days (Contract until 06/30/2026) Primary Skills: Power BI, SSRS, Healthcare industry experience Job Description: The Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH), Bureau of Laboratories (BOL), is seeking an Architect (SSRS/Power BI) to provide business analysis, data analysis, reporting services, and IT support. This role is 100% onsite at the State Laboratory in Exton, PA. Background: BOL operates the state public health laboratory and regulates clinical laboratories across Pennsylvania. As modernization efforts progress, there is a need for improved reporting and data exchange between health systems and public/private health organizations. The Architect will supplement DOH IT staff to support these initiatives. Responsibilities: • Analyze business needs and translate them into system requirements. • Provide data analysis and develop reports using SSRS and Power BI. • Support LIMS and laboratory data exchange initiatives. • Create and maintain technical and business documentation, workflows, and process diagrams. • Communicate system/business needs to multiple stakeholders including IT staff, epidemiologists, and health program staff. • Provide onboarding/offboarding support for laboratory systems. • Assist with IT infrastructure, software development projects, and technical support within BOL. • Ensure compliance with DOH, BOL, HHSDC, and Commonwealth standards. • Attend technical/business meetings and provide status reporting. • Complete weekly timesheet reporting in Vector VMS by COB Friday. Required Skills & Experience: • Minimum 3 years of business/process analysis and formalizing system requirements. • Minimum 3 years of data analysis using Microsoft SSRS and Power BI. • Familiarity with healthcare industry, laboratory practices, and standardized nomenclatures (LOINC, SNOMED, etc.). • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Visio. Desired Skills: • Healthcare industry experience (health information technology). • Laboratory experience. • State, Federal, or Local government experience. • Bachelors degree in relevant field preferred. Operational Requirements: • Must be willing to work onsite at Exton, PA. • Must comply with Commonwealth rules prohibiting government equipment from being taken outside the U.S. • Ability to lift/handle office equipment and navigate lab environments as needed.
