This experienced mid-level System Administrator will provide Azure architecture and infrastructure support, focusing on design, installation, configuration, operational management, migration, integration, monitoring, and cost tracking of Microsoft Azure IAAS and PAAS services in complex environments. Responsibilities Manage and monitor all installed systems and back-end infrastructure Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with other team members to implement those fixes Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower human intervention time on tasks Participate in the design of information and operational support systems Provide 2nd and 3rd level support Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution Patch system vulnerabilities according to predefined SLAs Manage escalations and cases to ensure timely and high-quality resolution of all issues Configure, monitor, and manage alerts to track and report on Azure usage, performance, and availability of infrastructure and services Requirements Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology related field with 5 years' practical experience or 10 years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education Minimum of 5 years of extensive and applied experience administering Windows Server OS 2008R2 or better (Standalone & Cluster), including patching, domain admin, network configuration, security monitoring Minimum of 2 years of experience in Azure Cloud, planning, migrating, and managing solutions Proven experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft-based environments Solid Cloud experience, preferably in Azure Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, VirtualBox) Experience with monitoring systems Solid scripting skills, preferably PowerShell Background with Active Directory Services including DNS, DHCP, and DFS Functional knowledge of Network administration Hands-on experience with Continuity of Operations/Disaster Recovery architecture and planning Azure Migration experience, migrating on-premises solutions to the cloud using Azure Migrate (or other) tools a plus Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to effectively explain complex technical concepts Must be eligible to work in the US without employer sponsorship Stout is required by applicable state and local laws to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The range for this role considers several factors including but not limited to prior work and industry experience, education level, and unique skills. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $90,000 - $110,000 annually. This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
