Senior Power Apps & SharePoint Developer (Technical Specialist) The Senior Power Apps & SharePoint Developer supports enterprise initiatives by designing, building, and administering secure, scalable business applications across the Microsoft ecosystem. This role bridges stakeholders and technical delivery teams to convert business requirements into modern Power Platform and SharePoint solutions that integrate with statewide/enterprise systems. Responsibilities include solution architecture input, application development, workflow automation, data integration, testing support, implementation coordination, and ongoing optimization in both cloud and on‑premise environments. The Senior Technical Specialist also establishes standards, mentors peers, and drives continuous improvement across delivery teams. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and administration of Microsoft Power Apps solutions (Canvas, Model‑Driven, and custom components) for enterprise programs, including online and on‑premise deployments. Build, enhance, and manage automated workflows and process orchestration using Power Automate; integrate with SharePoint lists/libraries, Dataverse tables, Azure services, and external data sources. Provide full‑lifecycle SharePoint development and tenant‑level administration (permissions, governance, site collections, content types, lists, libraries, branding, and upgrades). Develop rich, responsive UI components and forms using HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, XSL/XSLT, CSOM/REST, and related client‑side frameworks; support accessibility and cross‑browser compatibility. Convert or extend legacy InfoPath forms and workflows into modern Power Platform solutions; provide InfoPath maintenance where required. Support integrations with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Azure cloud databases/solutions, and third‑party/line‑of‑business applications in a multi‑tier (presentation, application, data) architecture. Configure and manage Microsoft Dataverse data models, relationships, business rules, and security roles to support scalable enterprise apps. Use Azure DevOps for source control (Git repos), build/release pipelines, work item tracking, backlog grooming, and status reporting; provide time estimates and progress updates to leadership. Diagnose, triage, and resolve production issues across environments; coordinate defect tracking, remediation, and regression validation. Document technical designs, configuration decisions, deployment runbooks, release notes, and lessons learned; contribute to knowledge bases and end‑user guidance. Engage executive‑level stakeholders and technical SMEs to gather requirements, validate solution approaches, and ensure business alignment. Identify, document, and promote best practices, coding standards, security guidelines, and governance policies for Power Platform and SharePoint implementations. Demonstrate reliable performance and high productivity in a distributed/teleworking environment. Qualifications & Experience IT Solution Development: 8+ years designing, developing, and delivering enterprise Information Technology solutions. Power Apps: 5+ years hands‑on development (Canvas/Model‑Driven), component configuration, data integration, and administration. Power Automate: 5+ years building automated flows, approval processes, data syncs, and system integrations. SharePoint: 8+ years development & administration experience (on‑premise and SharePoint Online), including tenant‑level governance and security. Front‑End / UI Development: 8+ years with HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery; familiarity with XSL/XSLT, CSOM, and SharePoint scripting. Microsoft Cloud & Data: Experience with Microsoft Azure services, Azure SQL / cloud databases, Microsoft Dataverse configuration, and integration patterns. InfoPath & Legacy Modernization: Experience creating and supporting InfoPath forms; ability to migrate/modernize to Power Platform. Dynamics 365: Working knowledge of extending or integrating Power Platform solutions with D365 applications. Tooling: Proficient with Azure DevOps for source control, CI/CD, backlog/work item management, and project reporting. Productivity & Collaboration: Skilled with Microsoft Office suite for documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication. Proven ability to function as a technical SME, communicate complex concepts to executive and technical audiences, and operate independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrated success identifying standards, improving project quality, and mentoring peers in best practices.
