This position is central to the successful implementation, configuration, and ongoing administration of the M365 Project Suite, ensuring its optimal use across various Operating Agencies (OAs). As a key personnel, you will leverage your technical expertise and best practice recommendations to design and maintain a robust project management environment that aligns with DOT's strategic objectives and security standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead the configuration and implementation of the Microsoft 365 Project Suite, including Project Online, adhering to best practice recommendations. Provide expert guidance and technical expertise for the M365 Project Suite's architecture, administration, and ongoing operations. Support the intricate configuration of the DOT tenant to establish discrete and secure workspaces for each identified Operating Agency (OA). Guide and advise DOT personnel on effective strategies for managing and maintaining Project Online operations post-implementation, ensuring long-term success. Identify, assess, and recommend integration methods between the M365 Project Suite and other existing Microsoft 365 tools and systems within the DOT environment, at the direction of the COR. Facilitate collaboration and drive business outcomes by effectively configuring the M365 Project Suite to meet organizational needs. Develop and maintain comprehensive technical reports, manuals, and other documentation, ensuring adherence to organizational and legal standards. Provide training and support to end-users and support staff on the effective utilization of M365 Project Suite features and functionalities. Act as a subject matter expert, staying current with M365 Project Suite updates, features, and best practices. Required Qualifications: Proven experience in the implementation, configuration, and administration of the Microsoft 365 Project Suite (including Project Online). Deep understanding and demonstrated expertise in M365 Project Suite architecture. Expert-level knowledge of M365 Project Suite features, capabilities, and functionalities. Strong proficiency in the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including integration points with other M365 applications (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform). Demonstrated technical skills in system administration, configuration, and troubleshooting within the Microsoft 365 environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and training abilities, with the capacity to explain complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences. Ability to facilitate collaboration and drive effective adoption of new tools and processes. Strict adherence to U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) policies, regulations, and security practices is mandatory. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
