We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Systems Administrator / Network Administrator to join our government contracting team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the office’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and shared drives. Your expertise will ensure the reliability and security of our systems, supporting both day-to-day operations and the unique requirements of government contracts. As our Systems Administrator / Network Administrator, you will oversee user account management, configure access controls, and monitor system performance to guarantee uptime for critical services. You will also play a key role in implementing and enforcing cybersecurity policies, ensuring our compliance with government standards such as NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP. Regular system audits, vulnerability assessments, and prompt patch management will be part of your routine to keep our environment secure and resilient. You will serve as the primary technical support resource for office staff, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues efficiently. In addition, you’ll provide training on secure practices, data management, and IT policies to help maintain a culture of security and compliance across the organization. A crucial part of your responsibilities will include developing, testing, and managing backup and disaster recovery procedures to guarantee the integrity and availability of our data. You will also maintain comprehensive documentation of our systems, configurations, and processes, and assist with compliance reporting and audits as required by our government contracts. To be successful in this role, you should have at least an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified credentials. U.S. citizenship is required, as is the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. You should bring at least two years of experience in systems or network administration, with a strong working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux environments, Active Directory, and network protocols. Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, compliance frameworks, and backup solutions is essential. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical staff are vital for success in this role. Experience working with government agencies or contractors, advanced certifications, and knowledge of cloud platforms are highly desirable.
