Job Title: Server Administrator / SharePoint Online Specialist Location: Houston, TX (On-site/Hybrid) Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Server Administrator with strong expertise in SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 migrations. This role will support the transition from on-premises infrastructure to a cloud-based environment and ensure ongoing administration, governance, and support of SharePoint Online and server systems. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain on-premises server infrastructure including VMware/Hyper-V, File Servers, and Application Servers. Lead and support SharePoint Online migration efforts, ensuring minimal downtime and system stability. Perform pre-migration assessments, environment readiness checks, and data mapping. Migrate data from flat files, PDFs, Access databases, and other sources. Administer and govern SharePoint Online environments post-migration. Utilize tools such as ShareGate, BitTitan, or Microsoft-native solutions to support migration efforts. Automate tasks and migration processes using PowerShell scripting. Configure and manage Microsoft 365 tenant settings, including SharePoint Online, Azure AD, Teams, and Exchange Online. Collaborate closely with infrastructure, security, and business teams to execute and support migration activities. Troubleshoot migration and server issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement resolutions. Create and maintain documentation for procedures, policies, and governance guidelines. Required Qualifications: Proven experience managing on-premises server environments. Hands-on experience with SharePoint Online migrations and administration. Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 architecture and administration tools. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting. Experience with data migration tools like ShareGate or BitTitan. Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft Certifications such as MS-100, MS-101, or equivalent. Experience in hybrid environments (on-prem to cloud transitions). Windows Server and Active Directory administration experience. Familiarity with Azure AD, Teams integration, and Exchange Online.
