Description of ProjectWe are seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) who will be a member to the Infrastructure Team, will need to work closely with the Server System Engineers, and collaborate with other Enterprise teams.The resource will help migrate to new versions of SQL and ensure the availability and optimization of the current MSSQL 2008 – 2022 databases. The resource may occasionally work with other database platforms such as Oracle. This position will require you to have experience in ETL processes and have knowledge of Azure SQL Database and Managed Instances.Sample TasksSupport SQL server applicationsSupporting SQL Server components, including SSIS and SSRSMaintaining and troubleshooting ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) processesPerforming SQL backups and Disaster RecoveryPerforming database migrations & upgradesWorking with Azure SQL technologiesDocumenting work and processesProvide mentorship to other DBAs on the teamProvide knowledge transferDesired QualificationsExperience with SQL server applications and supporting components, including SSIS and SSRS.Experience maintaining and troubleshooting ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) processes.Experience in mentor IT staff and database design.Experience in assessing and introducing new technologies to improve operation of database infrastructure.Experience as a lead worker in a team of subject matter experts of varying capacities.Experience in Microsoft Azure SQL technologies.Experience with AlwaysOn and other High Availability SQL technologies
