This full-time, in-office role is based in Irvine, CA. Local candidates only. The Cloud Systems Administrator will ensure quality and responsive services through ongoing preventative maintenance, assessment, and proactive monitoring. Under the direction of the CTO and Senior Systems Administrator, the Administrator will ensure adherence to best practices and proven methodologies to promote continuous information operations and the integration of new value-added technical services and technology. The position requires stability, reliability, and performance optimization for mission-critical services. Responsibilities • Maintenance and support of data center operations, LAN/WAN architecture, network monitoring, server and network hardware, software, and applications • Provide technical expertise and guidance in networking, operating systems, and project management • Mentor and assist in Helpdesk activities when needed • Monitor, assess, and report on network and server bandwidth and resource utilization • Coordinate and implement approved changes to increase performance and availability • Provide ongoing review of capacity requirements to align with budget planning • Provide network design, security analysis/design and implementation, standards, project management, and technology research • Maintain up-to-date system and network documentation and inventories • Coordinate vendor support contracts for hardware, software, connectivity, hosting, etc. • Work with software and hardware vendors for problem resolution when necessary • Ensure data integrity and availability through backup operations • Provide advance notification of planned outages and manage expectations • Communicate with management and help desk during unplanned outages • Complete and maintain pertinent paperwork and records • Focus on company objectives and user needs • Apply strong technical troubleshooting methodology Qualifications • Three to five years of experience as network and/or server administrator • Minimum of two years experience managing a Microsoft Azure M365 environment • Minimum of three years experience managing cloud-managed network routers and access points Education • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training Computer Skills • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure M365 E5 programs and security applications • Working knowledge of Cisco/Meraki systems • Working knowledge of Zoom VoIP systems • Working knowledge of Watchguard routers Physical Demands Physical demands may include lifting up to 50 pounds. Regularly sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and reach with feet, legs, back, arms and hands. May occasionally climb. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work at a computer and detect alarms. Availability for extended/flexible hours and weekends as needed.
