Our client is searching for a highly skilled and motivated Lead Cloud Solutions Architect with a deep specialization in Kubernetes to join our innovative technology team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader in cloud infrastructure, with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex, scalable, and resilient cloud-native applications. You will be responsible for defining our cloud strategy, architecting solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and ensuring best practices in security, performance, and cost optimization. A significant focus of this role will be on leveraging Kubernetes to orchestrate containerized applications, driving efficiency and enabling rapid deployment cycles. You will guide engineering teams in adopting cloud-native architectures, mentor junior architects, and stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies. This role demands strong technical acumen, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our technology infrastructure, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and aligned with business objectives. The ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and collaborate effectively in a distributed team environment is essential. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. Key Responsibilities: Design and architect enterprise-level cloud solutions using AWS, Azure, or GCP. Lead the adoption and implementation of Kubernetes for container orchestration. Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure best practices, including security, high availability, and disaster recovery. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and architecture teams. Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and services. Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with cloud infrastructure. Optimize cloud spending and resource utilization. Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues. Develop and document architectural standards and guidelines. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in cloud computing and containerization. Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years focused on cloud architecture. Proven expertise in designing and deploying solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies (Docker). Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation). Excellent understanding of networking, security, and database technologies in a cloud context. Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash). Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to articulate technical vision. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, CKA) are highly desirable.
