Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to join their dynamic IT department in Boise, Idaho, US . This critical role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust cloud-based solutions that align with the company's strategic objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security, to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures. Responsibilities include evaluating and selecting appropriate cloud technologies and services (AWS, Azure, GCP), developing architectural blueprints, and establishing best practices for cloud deployment and management. You will lead the migration of existing on-premises infrastructure to the cloud, optimize cloud resource utilization, and ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing complex cloud environments, a deep understanding of networking, storage, compute, and security principles within cloud platforms, and expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is essential. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, conducting technical reviews, and staying abreast of emerging cloud trends and technologies. This role demands excellent problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A commitment to continuous improvement and a passion for innovation in cloud computing are key. This is an on-site position, requiring full-time dedication at our Boise facility. Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP). Develop architectural blueprints and technical roadmaps for cloud solutions. Lead the migration of on-premises infrastructure and applications to the cloud. Optimize cloud resource utilization for cost-effectiveness and performance. Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) for automated provisioning and management. Ensure the security, compliance, and governance of cloud environments. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud engineering teams. Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment. Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues. Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud solutions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years focused on cloud architecture. Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP). Proven experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible). Strong understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures. Proficiency in networking, storage, compute, and security concepts in cloud environments. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert). Experience in a lead or architect role within a fast-paced environment.
