Our client, a rapidly expanding enterprise software company, is seeking an exceptional Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to join their innovative technology team in **San Antonio, Texas, US**. This role is critical in designing, implementing, and managing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions. You will work at the forefront of cloud technology, leveraging your expertise to architect and deploy cutting-edge solutions that meet the complex needs of our diverse clientele. Key Responsibilities: Design and architect robust, scalable, and highly available cloud-native solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Lead the migration of on-premises applications and infrastructure to the cloud. Develop and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates. Ensure the security, compliance, and performance of cloud environments through best practices and rigorous testing. Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications for cloud deployment and operation. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and services. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, and processes. Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and services to enhance existing solutions and capabilities. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and operations staff. Participate in on-call rotation for critical incident response and support. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud computing. Contribute to the development of architectural standards and governance policies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree or equivalent experience is a plus. Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 4 years focused on cloud architecture and design. Proven expertise in designing and implementing solutions on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps). Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and compliance frameworks in a cloud context. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable. Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and multi-cloud environments is a plus.
