Our client, a leading innovator in cloud-native technologies, is seeking a highly experienced Principal Cloud Solutions Architect with a strong DevOps focus to join their elite, fully remote engineering team. This position is instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions for our diverse client base. You will leverage your deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), infrastructure-as-code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies to architect robust solutions that drive business value and operational efficiency. This role demands a strategic thinker who can translate complex business requirements into resilient and cost-effective cloud architectures. Key Responsibilities: Design and architect scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) leveraging best practices in DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). Develop and implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates. Build and manage robust CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment, testing, and infrastructure provisioning. Implement and manage containerization solutions using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. Develop strategies for cloud security, cost management, monitoring, logging, and disaster recovery. Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and scalability in cloud environments. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and engineers. Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, DevOps trends, and industry best practices. Conduct architectural reviews and provide recommendations for cloud adoption and optimization. Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and deployment issues. Communicate technical concepts and architectural decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years focused on cloud architecture and DevOps. Expertise in designing and implementing solutions on at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). Extensive experience with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps). Deep understanding of containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). Strong knowledge of networking, security, monitoring, and logging in cloud environments. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable. Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives in a remote setting.
