Job Description: Engineering and Provisioning • Domain administration experience from standing up new forests to fixing existing ones. • Securing active directory and using GPOs to secure the entire domain. • Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. • Install new / rebuild existing servers (Win 2016) and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements Operations and Support • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. • Create, change, and delete user accounts per request. • Strong Active Directory experience (User Management, GPOs, directory security and RDP) • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures on both Workstations Servers (WIN and RHEL). • Analyze and isolate issues with security infrastructure: Networking, hardware, software, appliances, firewalls • Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users. • Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems • Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches and firewalls. • Familiar with and administering Active Directory (User Management, GPOs, directory security and RDP) • Demonstrated familiarity of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and or Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) Maintenance Support • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary. • Upgrade and configure system software that supports infrastructure, applications or Asset Management applications per operational needs. • Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures. • Assists in monitoring, maintaining, and upgrading VMware (VMware ESXi 5.1 or newer) environment. Other qualifications • Must have 7+ year experience as a Systems Administrator • Must have or be willing to get CompTIA Security+ certification within 90 days of employment • PowerShell Scripting experience • Solid understanding of network concepts (TCP/IP, Routing, Subnetting, Services) • Self-motivated and self-educating • Required to be on site or partially on site - fully remote is not allowed ABBTECH is an EOE/Minorities/Women/Disabled Individuals/Veterans
