Provide reliable technology infrastructure to support the mission of the Jewish Federation and agencies. Duties and Responsibilities • Provide superior customer service by assisting users with troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues. • Configuring and maintaining networked computer systems, including hardware, system software, and applications. • Knowledge of Kaseya management systems including Datto RMM, Autotask, Uniview, Datto EDR, RocketCyber, IT Glue, and SaaS Alerts desired. • Knowledge of Nutanix hardware and software including Nutanix native hypervisor AHV (Acropolis Hypervisor). • Respond to support tickets, emails, and calls to provide timely and courteous support. • Set up and maintenance of Microsoft network accounts and workstations. • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements. • Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise for multiple platforms. • Upgrade Windows systems with new software releases and hardware. • Perform regular maintenance and updates on systems and software. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network wiring and related technologies. • Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups. • Work with upper-level systems including network servers, SQL, firewalls, security appliances, network protocols, internet connectivity and security, network infrastructure – switches, routers, fiber, cables, monitor network and internet speeds and routing, manage and ensure backup technology is functional and up to date. • Become familiar with access control software, door controllers, door strikes and magnets and card readers. • Ability to respond to help desk requests after hours on a limited basis. • Assist with the setup and maintenance of data backup systems. • Perform data recovery when needed. • Familiarity with audiovisual technology and be able to assist end users with setup and equipment. • Provide technical support for audio visual setups during meetings, presentations, and events, including projectors, microphones, speakers, video conferencing systems, including live streaming and recording. • Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts in various systems, including Active Directory and various software packages. • Ensure that users have appropriate access to resources based on their roles. • Maintain detailed records of technical issues, resolutions, and processes. • Develop and update user guides and documentation for IT and AV procedures. • Reliable and predictable attendance. • Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications · A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience plus 2+ years of system administration experience in Nutanix, VMWare, Windows Server/PC platforms and firewall configuration. Experience working with an MSP is helpful. · Experience in Windows operating systems, subsystems, and Software Vendor products. · Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, Nutanix or equivalent. · Experience with the configuration of Anti-Virus systems, encryption, system installation and configuration, fundamentals of security, and installing third-party software. · Experience in Microsoft 365 Cloud offerings. · Familiarity with implementation of mobile worksites. · Familiarity with fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts, such as DNS, DHCP, IOT, Active Directory, Office 365, Group Policy, Network Printing, VOIP, VLANs, Firewalls, Access Control, WiFi. · Experience working with remote management and monitoring software and help desk ticketing systems. This position may require work on nights, weekends, and/or holidays or on call as scheduled.
