Senior Support / Project Engineer (MSP) Location: Columbia, MD 21045 (near Baltimore/Howard County) Comp: $110,000 target; up to $115–$120k for top-tier Must have MSP experience - no exceptions Must be local to Columbia/Baltimore - 5 days onsite Columbia deserves DC-caliber tech roles without the beltway grind. Join a high-growth, automation-forward MSP serving ~50 mid-market and enterprise clients across finance, manufacturing, legal, and GovCon. You’ll own meaningful projects, mentor teammates, and help raise the bar for the region’s tech scene, right here in 21045. What you’ll do • Lead Tier 2.5+ escalations and project delivery across Windows Server, AD/Entra, M365/Azure, and virtualization. • Install, configure, and troubleshoot servers, file/print, remote access, backups/DR, and email. • Administer AD (users/groups, GPO, permissions, event logs); maintain secure, well-documented environments. • Deploy and support Azure services (VDI, Intune, SharePoint, Entra ID) and assist with hybrid cloud builds. • Own incident management, communicate status to stakeholders, and drive RCAs and prevention. • Mentor junior engineers, curate tickets, and champion best practices in documentation and automation (PowerShell). • Participate in after-hours rotation as needed. What you bring • MSP background handling mixed environments, client-facing work, and on-site delivery. • Strong with Windows Server, AD/GPO, M365, Azure/Entra/Intune, VMware/Hyper-V, SAN, and enterprise backup/DR. • Networking chops: TCP/IP, VLANs/VPNs, routers/firewalls, with Cisco/SonicWall experience. • RMM/PSA proficiency (ConnectWise Automate, IT Glue preferred); comfort with MDR/EDR and Nerdio a plus. • Clear communicator, ownership mindset, and passion for automation and process improvement. • Local to Columbia/Baltimore with reliable commute for 5 days onsite (client/HQ).
