Piper Companies is seeking an AI Engineer for a direct placement opportunity supporting a cutting-edge Digital Health Platform. The AI Engineer position can be based in Raleigh, NC, Houston, TX, or remote (location preference applies). Must be eligible to work in the United States. Responsibilities of the AI Engineer include: • Build and deploy agentic AI systems using frameworks like LangChain, CrewAI, and AutoGen • Implement multi-agent orchestration workflows and RAG pipelines with vector databases • Develop prompt engineering strategies and fine-tuning workflows for domain-specific tasks • Design CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, and auto-scaling infrastructure for AI workloads • Integrate AI agents with development tools and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations Qualifications for the AI Engineer include: • 5+ years of AI/ML engineering experience with production deployment of LLMs • Deep hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks and multi-agent systems • Proven RAG implementation experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma) • Strong DevOps/MLOps background including Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation • Azure cloud expertise (Azure ML, AKS, OpenAI Service, Cognitive Services); Terraform or ARM templates • 3+ years in regulated industries (medical device highly preferred) • Strong software engineering practices including version control, testing, documentation, and code review • API development and integration experience with REST/GraphQL and webhook implementations • Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, especially vector databases for AI applications Additional Details: • Direct placement • Location: Raleigh, Houston, or Remote • Salary: $150,000-$180,000 plus bonus • Must be eligible to work in the United States Keywords: AI Engineer, Agentic AI, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, RAG, Vector Databases, Azure ML, Azure OpenAI, Azure Cognitive Services, MLOps, DevOps, Terraform, Python, Medical Device, Compliance, LLM Deployment #LI-REMOTE #LI-HC1
