POSITION SUMMARY: This senior technical position requires a highly skilled individual that can perform complex technical and server administrative functions to ensure the availability of the Arizona Supreme Court’s Windows server systems. This position is the primary resource for Windows system projects and is responsible for ensuring Windows server systems resources are available to the court user community as scheduled. This position will also install, maintain, and support VMWare VSphere and Virtual Center high availability environments. In addition, this position will maintain performance criteria for the Windows systems, uses standard data collection methods to ensure criteria are being met. Provides server system support, including system implementation and configuration, system-level security and vulnerability remediations, software and application install and patch upgrades. Other duties assigned to the Sr. Windows Systems Administrator include: Application/Systems Administration, identifying, troubleshooting and resolving. Provide Tier III technical support for Support Center and Desktop Technical support staff, test and document system software and hardware upgrades; new server applications and integration projects, ensure hardware and software Inventory and maintenance contracts and documentation are kept current, and monitor system back up procedures, including backup processes, tape retention/storage and recovery processes. This position may offer the ability to work remotely, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures. Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program qualified employer. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field. Relevant work experience may substitute for educational requirements. Five or more years’ experience as a Senior Windows System Administrator. Current MCSE certification and/or ability to demonstrate equivalent Windows administrative knowledge and skills. This position also requires extensive technical support experience with Windows Server 2012 and 2016 64-bit environments. Strong working knowledge of VMware and management of large VMware Clustered environments, strong working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, strong working knowledge of Microsoft’s Azure and cloud services, technical experience in a multi-system and/or multi-platform environment, working knowledge of Local and Wide Area Networks, and strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. In addition, this position requires the ability to work off-shift or weekends hours and to work on-call rotation. Travel level: up to 5% in state travel. Must possess a valid drivers license.
