Job Title: Senior System Administrator Work Type: Hybrid 2 3 Days Onsite Location: 1700 N Congress Ave Austin TX 78701 Rate Range: $82/hr in W2 Work Authorization: GC USC All valid EADs except H1B Department: Texas General Land Office Solicitation Number: TXGLOSSA02 Response Deadline: 08/13/2025 @ 5:00 PM (CT) Job Description: The Texas General Land Office (GLO) seeks an experienced Senior System Administrator to lead the optimization security and governance of its Microsoft 365 environment including Exchange Online SharePoint Teams OneDrive and Azure AD. This role supports a high-priority tenant migration initiative and requires strong technical acumen PowerShell scripting and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct full assessment of the existing GLO Microsoft 365 tenant and recommend improvements. • Develop policies standards and procedures for configuration access compliance and administration. • Act as technical advisor during a major M365 tenant migration project. • Ensure activities meet federal compliance standards (e.g. FedRAMP CJIS NIST 800-53). • Implement Microsoft 365 best practices in identity collaboration and security services. • Automate tasks using PowerShell Power Automate and Power Apps. • Support tenant hardening conditional access DLP retention policies and audit logging. • Validate service functionality post-migration and troubleshoot configuration gaps. • Provide Tier 3 support during transition/stabilization phases. • Maintain detailed documentation (runbooks change logs configurations). • Track deliverables and ensure project is completed on time and within scope.
