We are seeking a Senior Network Administrator to provide IT support for RDT&E (Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation) networks at NSWC Crane. The ideal candidate will deliver quality solutions while maintaining and optimizing network infrastructure and ensuring network security, performance, and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs). Responsibilities in this position include but are not limited to: • Designing, implementing, and maintaining network architecture, including border security, SDN, WAN/LAN, and remote site hardware • Configuring network devices and maintaining accurate documentation, including diagrams and asset inventories • Monitoring network performance, managing capacity, and ensuring SLA compliance through regular reporting • Troubleshooting hardware/software issues and implementing security protocols • Managing system updates, patches, and fixes • Responding to service requests and maintaining detailed records in ticketing systems • DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level III Certification required (CompTIA CASP+, CCNP Security, or CISSP) • Experience with F5 services (APM, SWG, GTM, LTM), Cisco ISE (including posture modules), and Cisco Firepower • Knowledge of network mapping tools (e.g., RedSeal), Cisco ACI, Cisco DNA Center, and Azure Cloud Environment • Proficiency with dynamic routing protocols BGP and OSPF • Strong skills in network monitoring, security, and performance optimization • An Active DoD Secret clearance is required to start.
