Job Title: Network Administrator Location: Virginia Beach, VA (local candidates only, within a 30-mile radius) Position Type: Full-Time | Monday – Friday, occasional travel required On-Call: Paid on-call rotation for after-hours support About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator with a strong background in both on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in network administration, hold a Microsoft certification, and demonstrate expertise across Entra, Azure, Microsoft 365, and hybrid infrastructures. Experience with telephony systems (on-premises and/or cloud, preferably Avaya), Cisco Meraki, network documentation, and cybersecurity best practices is essential. Knowledge of CMMC compliance and NIST Standards is strongly preferred. This role is hands-on,customer-facing, and requires someone who thrives in a dynamic environment—especially within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) setting. Key Responsibilities • Manage, configure, and support on-premises and cloud-based networks (Microsoft Azure, MS365, Entra). • Maintain and troubleshoot telephony systems (Avaya preferred, cloud telephony a plus). • Implement and oversee Cisco Meraki networks. • Create and maintain network documentation and technical diagrams. • Apply cybersecurity best practices to protect systems and data. • Support compliance initiatives, preferably with CMMC/NIST 800-171 frameworks. • Participate in paid on-call rotation for after-hours support. • Provide occasional travel-based support to client sites. Qualifications • 5+ years of professional experience in network administration. • Microsoft Expert certification (required). • Proficiency in Azure, MS365, and Entra environments. • Strong knowledge of on-premises and cloud networking. • Experience with telephony systems (Avaya preferred). • Familiarity with Cisco Meraki network solutions. • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices. • Knowledge of CMMC compliance (preferred). • Prior MSP experience (highly preferred). • Must reside within a 30-mile radius of Virginia Beach, VA.
