Specifically, the Recovery Lead is responsible for timely collection of claims and maintaining a high quality of work by their department. The Recovery Lead must possess ability to work in an environment where they are also responsible for promoting and maintaining client/vendor relationships and ensuring alignment of Recovery with Audit, Statements and other internal partners. Responsibilities: • Meet or exceed goals set by senior management. Communicate any concerns to the Recovery Manager that may prohibit consistent success and offer solutions when possible • Recognize and deal with priorities, including reviewing and making necessary adjustments to weekly departmental priorities alongside Manager. • Coordinate with Manager on all client deadlines to meet the goal of 90% resolution of claims for the specified project. Periodically review remaining open claims identified by Audit Director for resolution • Develop, coach and counsel recovery analysts regarding procedures and industry knowledge • Provide weekly feedback to Manager on why targets were not met as well as roadblocks • Hold weekly team meetings • Update Project Rules • Conduct interviews for all new hires in Recovery • Coordinate and train additional divisions or product lines (Retail/UK) • Oversee effective and professional communication to ensure quality of the audit process to ensure proper resolution of claims • Address deduction package issues with analysts should they become repetitive issues. • Complete monthly feedback forms and present with Manager • Promote a high degree of morale and spirit within the Department and between Departments. • Be client focused while maintaining a positive client/vendor relationship • Maintain a professional attitude and ability to communicate • Submit biweekly Department payroll and track PTO for analysts • Complete and provide feedback to Manager for performance reviews • Answer any day to day questions from Analysts • Prepare PPR meeting notes and attend PPR meeting calls • Attend training conferences and meetings as needed • Perform any other tasks that may be required Knowledge Components: • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and communications techniques with client suppliers. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications • Ability to learn/gain proficiency in proprietary software tools • Ability to develop and maintain department matrices Experience: • Two years management experience is preferred. Ninety days plus recovery audit background is required. Education Levels/Credentials (Degree types and Emphasis): • Background in Operations, preferably related to one of the following accounting/finance, collections or sales. Skills and Abilities and Other Characteristics: • Ability to manage multiple projects • Strong management skills to include coaching, mentoring, providing feedback, building teams and leading them through changes in the business. • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, etc.) and communication skills • Possessing excellent analytical skills, customer service skills and writing ability • High degree of integrity • Ability to resolve conflicts or confront issues • Ability to motivate, inspire and manage people Physical Work Environment: • Standard office environment • Requires some lifting (up to 50 pounds on occasion) • Requires normal vision (with or without correction) • Requires talking and hearing spoken words
