Hybrid NYC Systems Engineer - MSP w/Virtualization & Networking Focus at $85,000 - $100,000 Are you a seasoned Systems Engineer with MSP experience looking for your next challenge? A growing IT services firm based in Manhattan is looking to add a highly motivated, team-oriented professional to its close-knit technical team. This full-time role is ideal for someone with strong virtualization and server expertise who thrives in project-based environments. This opportunity is perfect for someone with mid-to-advanced experience supporting Windows Server environments, virtualized infrastructure (Hyper-V and VMware), and enterprise-level networking. You'll handle a mix of Level 2 escalations and hands-on project work including deployments, migrations, routing/switching, and server configuration for a diverse client base. Day to Day: • Administer and support LAN/WAN infrastructure across client sites • Perform Windows Server setup, Active Directory & Group Policy management • Configure and troubleshoot VMware, Hyper-V, and SAN environments • Support Exchange, M365/Azure environments, and email migrations • Deploy VPNs, VLANs, wireless infrastructure, and firewalls • Perform hardware repairs, workstation setups, and systems recovery • Collaborate with a team of experienced engineers in a supportive environment What We’re Looking For: • 3+ years of hands-on experience in an MSP setting • Deep technical knowledge in virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), M365, and Azure • Strong background in Windows Server (2008-2022) and Exchange (2010-2019) • Experience configuring VPNs, VLANs, DNS/DHCP, and wireless networks • Someone who lives within ~20 miles of New City, NY Perks & Benefits: • $85,000 - $100,000 DOE • 15 days PTO + 6 paid holidays • Health insurance, vision, dental • 401K with 4% employer match • Certification support (Datto, Sophos, IT Glue, N-able, etc.) • Mileage reimbursement for client visits • A company culture built on teamwork, growth, and respect Must Have MSP Experience!!!
