Cullerton Group is seeking a DevOps Engineer 3 for a long-term contract in Chicago, IL or Dallas, TX. The role involves software systems design, development, and deployment with a focus on cloud infrastructure.
Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a DevOps Engineer 3 in either Chicago, IL or Dallas, TX. The work will be done onsite. This is a long-term contract. It can lead to permanent employment with our customer. Compensation is $72/hr W2 + full benefits, vision, dental, health insurance, 401K and holiday pay. Our customer is the largest manufacturer of construction equipment in the world. Job Description As a DevOps Engineer you will contribute to design, development, testing and deployment of software systems and/or applications. • Competent to perform all programming, project management, and development assignments without close supervision; normally assigned the more complex aspects of systems work. • Works directly on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution, including responding to off-shift and weekend support calls. • Works independently on complex systems or infrastructure components that may be used by one or more applications or systems. • Drives application development focused around delivering business valuable features • Maintains high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits • Identifies and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team • Communicate with end users and internal customers to help direct development, debugging, and testing of application software for accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness • Performs integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of components that requires careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality results. • Worker is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by the management from time to time. Basic qualifications: • 5+ years of DevOps experience • 5+ years of AWS or Azure cloud experience • Experience managing YAML-based continuous integration, continuous delivery systems (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.). • Experience writing and deploying Amazon Web Services cloud infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation templates and/or Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates. • Interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross functional team. Top candidates will also have: • Associate or Professional-level AWS and/or Azure certifications related to DevOps, Development, or Architecture. • Strong background working with revision control systems (Git, etc.). • Experience performing root cause analysis on CI/CD pipelines. • Experience with IDE Tools (VSCode, Eclipse, Intellij, etc.). • Analytic mindset and skilled problem solver for troubleshooting issues • Great verbal and written communication skills to collaborate cross functionally and enhance scalability.
