Talascend is currently seeking a DevOps Solutions Architect for a contract career opportunity with our client on-site in Washington, DC. You must be eligible for Public Trust clearance. Overview This role is responsible for designing and implementing DevOps architecture and strategies to enhance software delivery, scalability, and operational efficiency. The position requires on-site work five days a week and eligibility for a Public Trust clearance. Responsibilities • Define and implement DevOps architecture aligned with business goals • Design scalable, resilient, and secure systems using CI/CD and automated testing • Create and maintain architecture blueprints incorporating DevOps best practices • Lead the development of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps • Enable seamless deployment across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments • Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet • Automate cloud resource management and infrastructure provisioning • Deploy and maintain monitoring and logging systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK • Continuously optimize the performance, security, and reliability of DevOps environments • Define and monitor KPIs to improve operational efficiency • Architect solutions using AWS, Azure, or GCP to support agile development and continuous delivery • Guide integration of cloud-native services for containerization and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) • Maintain documentation for DevOps pipelines, processes, and automation scripts Requirements • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field • 7+ years of experience in IT architecture or engineering, with 3–5 years focused on DevOps • Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation • Experience with Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes • Deep understanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP and Infrastructure as Code tools • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Splunk, or ELK • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, Ruby, or Go • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and security principles • Strong communication and leadership skills in cross-functional environments Preferred: • Experience with microservices, serverless computing, and Agile/Scrum • Exposure to AI/ML in DevOps pipelines • Relevant certifications such as CKA, AWS DevOps Engineer, or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert We thank all applicants for their interest.
