Position Description Advertised Job Summary The Office of Institutional Data, Evaluation, Accreditation, and Strategic Planning at the School of Medicine Greenville is seeking to hire a Data and Evaluation Analyst to join our team. The Oce of Institutional Data, Evaluation, Accreditation, and Strategic Planning (Oce of IDEAS) is responsible for collecting, managing, analyzing, and reporting data necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of the medical education curriculum and support the LCME accreditation of School of Medicine Greenville. Within this oce, The Data and Evaluation Analyst, reporting directly to the Director of Institutional Data and Evaluation, supports faculty, staff, and administration through collecting and managing institutional data, developing institutional surveys and reports, and conducting thoughtful and informative data analysis. This position collects and maintains data on student, course, and program performance, supports evaluation across all phases of the curriculum, and uses both quantitative and qualitative analysis methods to fulfill institutional reporting requirements and ad-hoc requests. Working across systems, oces and departments, and with school administration, this individual maintains key datasets, supports survey and evaluation administration, generates numerous institutional reports, and fullls data requests for both internal and external stakeholders. Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience • Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications Master's degree and 1 year related experience or a bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience. • Experience with collecting, maintaining, analyzing, and reporting quantitative and qualitative data • Experience with university faculty/staff administration Experience with assessment processes within higher education • Advanced skills with excel, including formula writing, pivot tables, charts, macros, VBA, etc. • Experience with programming languages, e.g. R, Python, SQL, JavaScript • Experience with relational database management systems, e.g. MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, PostgreSQL • Experience with Smartsheet • Experience with accreditation. • Familiarity with medical education. • Experience with survey platforms like SurveryMonkey or Qualtrics or RedCap • Familiar with business intelligence tools like Tableau or Microsoft Power BI • Familiar with database management concepts and programming languages like R, Python, SQL, JavaScript • Ability to formulate and implement administrative policies and procedures related to data management. • Commitment to advancing the mission/vision/guiding principles of USCSOM Greenville/Prisma Health in setting priorities and conducting work. • Knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to administrative/business activities of the organization. Job Duties Job Duty Data Analysis and Reporting: • Develops multiple reports analyzing student, course, and program-level data and performance, including end-of-phase reports and CQI dashboards and institutional surveys like the Student Experience Survey and Graduate surveys. • Develops individual student performance dashboards for Student Evaluation and Promotion Committee review. • In consultation with the Oce of Medical Education, reviews and supports data collection and analysis for the Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE) letters. • In consultation with Oce of IDEAS leadership, responds to internal and external ad-hoc requests for statistical analysis and report development. • As part of standard reporting and responding to ad-hoc requests, performs routine statistical analysis, including descriptive statistics, exam item psychometrics, correlation and multiple linear regression analysis, reliability statistics, t-tests, and analysis of variance (ANOVA). • Collaborate closely with a variety of constituents to meet a wide range of data collection, analysis, and reporting needs. • Develop dashboards for key stakeholders. • Support data driven decision making and planning. • Other data analysis and reporting needs as requested by Oce of IDEAS leadership. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 40 Job Duty Data Management: • Maintains longitudinal data sets, tracking student, course, and program data over time, ensuring data integrity, for the purposes of performing statistical analysis and educational research. • Supports data governance initiative, including developing and maintaining data dictionaries and systems and process documentation. • Monitor data entry from key stakeholders in student and program information systems to ensure quality and completeness of data. • Assists with the design and development of specic databases for collection, tracking, and analysis of student and program data. • Maintains course and faculty evaluation data and les for data reporting and analysis. • Other data management needs as requested by Oce of IDEAS leadership Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 35 Job Duty Evaluation: • Supports the timely development, administration, and analysis and reporting of institutional surveys (e.g, Student Experience Survey and Graduate/Residency surveys). • In consultation with Oce of IDEAS leadership, supports ad-hoc requests from • Faculty, staff, and administration for new surveys or evaluations, including development, distribution, and reporting • Maintains data les of external program surveys, e.g. AAMC Graduate Questionnaire, and supports the reporting and analysis of results. • Supports accreditation, CQI, and strategic planning efforts, including with • Data collection and tracking, analysis, and reporting. • Other evaluation needs as requested by Oce of IDEAS leadership.
