Position Overview The role of Assistant Network Administrator and Data Analyst is designed for a detail‐oriented professional under the direction of the CIO. The successful candidate will maintain the integrity and performance of network systems while supporting cybersecurity initiatives and data analysis. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 Months. Key Responsibilities • Assist with managing telecommunications systems including voice, data, and video communication. • Plan, design, install, and maintain network systems; manage LAN and WAN performance and security. • Install, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot network infrastructure operations. • Implement policies and standards to ensure network reliability and security while documenting current systems. • Proactively diagnose and repair issues as they arise. • Attend meetings and provide feedback, support, and coordination for IT-related projects. • Collaborate with the SOCaaS vendor and manage access and roles for infrastructure, software, and vendor systems. • Provide leadership and assist with disaster recovery and critical incident responses. • Offer data analysis on key initiatives and additional requested information. • Manage servers including maintaining Active Directory, Group Policy, and virtualization technologies. • Support account creation/deletion for staff and students and maintain backup solutions. • Coordinate with contractors/vendors on network projects and problem resolution. • Diagnose and repair network issues, including those occurring outside regular business hours. • Evaluate and recommend vendor products as required, along with performing other assigned duties. Required Qualifications • Four-year degree in computer sciences or a related field (or equivalent work experience or acceptable alternative credentials). • Knowledge of Server Operating Systems such as Windows Server (2019, 2022, 2025) and Linux; familiarity with Client Operating Systems including Windows 10 and above, macOS, and ChromeOS. • Experience with network hardware including routers, switches, wireless access points, and firewalls. • Understanding of server/network services such as Azure, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and associated protocols. • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Office 365, web filtering, and Google G-Suite. • Experience with SIEM tools, security analytics, and virtualization technologies (e.g., Microsoft Hyper-V with Failover Clustering, VMWare ES). • Programming/coding experience and capability in data analytics. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, complemented by strong organizational and project management abilities. • Critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate and prioritize key systems and workflows. • Proven ability to work both collaboratively within a team and independently.
