Job Title: Lead Azure Data Engineer Location: Jersey City, NJ/ New York - 4 days onsite role Long Term Role Required Skills & Qualifications: • Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Azure Stream Analytics. • Design and maintain data models, warehouses, and lakes that support BI and advanced analytics. • Architect and implement secure, scalable Azure-based solutions spanning data pipelines, storage, analytics, and application services. • Apply Azure Well-Architected Framework principles to optimize cost, performance, reliability, security, and operational excellence. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 7+ years of hands-on experience designing and building solutions on Azure. • Strong proficiency in Azure application development (App Services, Functions, AKS, Logic Apps) and Azure data services (Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks, Azure SQL). • Solid coding skills in C#, .NET, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript. • Deep understanding of cloud architecture, design patterns, and the Azure Well-Architected Framework. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools, and Infrastructure-as-Code. Preferred Qualifications • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert and/or Azure Developer Associate. • Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms (Azure Event Hubs, Service Bus). • Familiarity with AI/ML integration using Azure Machine Learning and LLMs such as OpenAI / LLaMa or similar.
