This is a contract to hire opportunity with an insurance and asset management firm that can be hybrid in Austin, TX or fully remote (EST/CST preferred). You’ll join a fast-paced infrastructure team supporting large-scale virtualization, cloud integration, and end-user computing initiatives. The team is looking for a senior-level engineer with deep Citrix experience who can design, build, and maintain hybrid environments across both on-prem and cloud systems. As a Citrix Server Engineer, you’ll be responsible for managing and modernizing Citrix environments, integrating with Azure and Nutanix platforms, and supporting ongoing Windows Server and M365 initiatives. You’ll collaborate with internal teams to enhance performance, scalability, and reliability across enterprise applications and virtual desktop environments. Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure or systems engineering (Citrix-focused) • Strong hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (CVAD), Citrix Cloud, and DaaS • Solid background in Azure (on-prem and cloud), including Azure Entra ID and M365 integration • Experience with Windows Server environments, including legacy versions (2000–2016/2019) • Proficiency with Nutanix AHV or other hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V) • Familiarity with enterprise applications, identity management, and Active Directory Desired Skills & Experience • Experience building or maintaining Citrix infrastructure from the ground up • Exposure to PowerShell scripting or automation for system provisioning • Background in regulated, enterprise, or manufacturing environments • Citrix or Microsoft certifications (CCA, CCP, MCSA, or Azure) • Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and optimization skills What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown • 50% Citrix Cloud / Azure Infrastructure • 50% On-Prem & Hybrid Server Support (Citrix, Windows, Nutanix) Daily Responsibilities • 60% Hands-On Engineering, Migration, and Support • 40% Collaboration with Cloud, Security, and Application Teams The Offer Bonus Eligible You Will Receive the Following Benefits • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance • 401(k) • Paid Time Off Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future. #LI-JF6
