Groundworks is seeking a talented Marketing Analyst - Paid Search to join our tribe in Virginia Beach, VA! The Marketing Analyst – Paid Search is responsible for supporting the execution, analysis, and optimization of paid search campaigns across Google Ads, Local Service Ads, and Microsoft Ads. This entry-level role plays a key part in monitoring daily campaign performance, identifying trends, and providing actionable recommendations to improve ROAS and achieve marketing KPIs. This role will report directly with the Senior Manager of SEM and work closely with the Performance Marketing team. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their career in digital marketing. Job Responsibilities • Analyze performance trends of paid search channels including Google Ads, Local Service Ads and Microsoft Ads. • Track daily campaigns spend and performance while providing recommendations for bid adjustments, budget reallocations, landing page changes and opportunities for expansion. • Evaluate paid traffic site performance using Google Analytics and other web analytics tools. • Identify and communicate with management teams opportunities to improve ad and site performance. • Track channel performance towards monthly and yearly KPIs, identifying trends for specific office locations and service lines. • Create reports, dashboards and ad hoc analyses for paid search and performance marketing management teams • Conduct analysis across large datasets to understand channel performance, market trends, and progress towards business objectives • Provide channel specific reports to various marketing and business stakeholders including query reports, demand reports and performance reports. • Prepare decks and presentations on current performance and projects on a weekly and monthly basis • Work with Head of SEM to provide updates on tests, experiments, and large-scale projects • Track spend, budget and submit monthly invoices for paid search channels • Stay up to date on paid search trends and changes in marketing platform and tools. • It is an essential function of this job that the employee regularly and reliably reports to work on time each working day. Minimum Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Analytics, or related field. • 1-2 years of relevant experience, including internship experience. • Ability to quickly conduct data analysis and use data to tell a story. Analytical-minded and detail-oriented. • Fundamental understanding of digital marketing, paid media, and business analysis. • Familiarity with SEM/SEO strategies and tactics. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work independently, multitask, and stay organized across multiple assignments. • Experience working in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Google Analytics. Google Ads Certification is a plus • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, Looker Studio, Power BI).
