DCI Job Requirement for: Network Security Engineer-Firewalls Location: McLean, VA Job Description: Serve as a Network Engineer supporting a government customer Design, implement, and manage firewall solutions utilizing: • CISCO • Palo Alto • Juniper network devices Perform configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of firewall policies Monitor network traffic for, and proactively address threats Collaborate with cross-functional teams Ensure network security standards align with business objectives Provide technical support and guidance to clients on firewall-related issues Participate in the evaluation and selection of firewall technologies Qualifications: Active TS/SCI with a Full-Scope Polygraph BS in Network Engineering or related 11+ years of relevant experience Possess a deep understanding of Network security principles Ability to translate customer requirements into enterprise network solutions Proven experience as a Network Engineer with a focus on firewall technologies Strong proficiency with CISCO firewall platforms In-depth knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP stacks, and OSI models Experience with firewall management software such as: • Cisco FTD and Palo Alto Panorama Cloud Service Provider and hybrid cloud experience • (on-premises networks and cloud such as AWS, Azure, Oracle and Google) Strong proficiency with Palo Alto and Juniper firewall platforms (preferred) Industry certifications such as: • CCNA Security or CCNP Security • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) Required: Active TS/SCI w/ FSP Job Type: Full-time ​ Job Type: Full-time Pay: $200,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Employee assistance program • Flexible schedule • Flexible spending account • Health insurance • Health savings account • Life insurance • Paid time off • Parental leave • Professional development assistance • Relocation assistance • Retirement plan • Tuition reimbursement • Vision insurance Compensation Package: • 1099 contract • Bonus opportunities • Signing bonus • Yearly pay Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday Experience: • Network Security Engineering: 10 years (Preferred) • firewall: 10 years (Preferred) • Cisco: 5 years (Preferred) • Palo Alto: 5 years (Preferred) • TCP/IP : 5 years (Preferred) • AWS and/or Azure: 5 years (Preferred) License/Certification: • Full-Scope Polygraph Security clearance (Preferred) Security clearance: • Top Secret (Required) Work Location: In person
