The Planet Group has partnered with a Cincinnati, Ohio company to locate a Network Security Analyst professional to join the team in a full-time role. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and enhancing the security posture of our client and will serve as a key escalation point for issues stemming from outsourced SOC activities and involves hands-on management of network and security infrastructure. Please note, this is an onsite position and requires that candidates live in the Cincinnati area. It is a full-time position and we will not work Corp-to-Corp. Key Responsibilities: • Serve as the primary escalation contact for security-related incidents managed by third-party SOC providers • Develop, review, and maintain firewall policies, rule sets, and configurations across security platforms • Deliver and support cybersecurity awareness initiatives and training across the organization • Monitor the performance and availability of key security systems and tools • Analyze security event trends, report on recurring issues, and collaborate with teams to proactively reduce future threats • Design and deploy secure remote connectivity solutions, including site-to-site and remote-access VPNs across multiple security platforms • Investigate and perform root cause analysis of significant security incidents Required Qualifications: • Proven hands-on experience with Check Point firewall administration and policy management • Experience deploying and managing KnowBe4 security awareness training platforms • Strong familiarity with Azure-native security tools, such as Network Security Groups (NSGs) and Application Security Groups (ASGs) • Background in network infrastructure and security (including server, telecom, and firewall environments) • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field • Exceptional documentation and communication skills • Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Preferred Certifications: • Check Point certification (e.g., CCSA or CCSE) • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Interested candidates can apply by clicking on the link.
