Overview: Abacus Technology is seeking a mid-level SharePoint Administrator to provide support to the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) in Quantico, VA. This is a full-time position. Major Duties & Responsibilities: Provide SharePoint administration to include planning for, installing, and maintaining computer systems. Perform performance monitoring and tuning, upgrades and patching, backup and recovery, as well as troubleshooting and problem resolution. Develop and maintain schedules and plans for system updates and patching. Provides primary support for the AFOSI SharePoint presence on NIPR and SIPR networks. Responsibilities include: • Providing End and Power User support • Reviewing and monitoring SharePoint, Event and Usage logs • Monitoring SharePoint URLs • Reviewing Search Architecture • Reviewing Security Hierarchy • Reporting on SharePoint uptime and SLA performance • Verifying alerts • Validating site backups • Auditing server utilization • Applying patches • Identifying and reporting system risks • Reporting site incidents • Troubleshooting and fixing site issues • Reviewing questions and issues and updating the SharePoint FAQ Basic Qualifications: • 5 years of experience in the IT field including at least 2 years of experience performing administrative tasks on a SharePoint server farm. • Must be able to work independently and also directly with the Government SharePoint Project Manager and development team. • Experience with SharePoint 2010/2013/2016/2019; InfoPath 2010/2013; Windows Server 2008R2/2012/2012R2/2016/2019; SQL Server 2008R2/2012/2016; and VMware ESXi 6.5+. • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining servers with Windows. • Experience with Active Directory and GPO. • Able to assess server infrastructure and configuration and identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions. • Experience with security as it pertains to server infrastructure, desktops, laptops, servers, firewalls, routers, and intrusion detection systems (IDS). • Must have a current Top Secret clearance • Must be certified at IAT Level II (e.g., Security+, or other certification satisfying DoD 8570 certification requirements) • Must have good communication skills and an ability to conceptualize server infrastructures and configurations. • Must be a US citizen. Desired additional qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in related field • Microsoft SharePoint certification • Power Automate • Experience administering SharePoint Servers in a virtualized production environment using VMWare ESXi 6.5 technology. • Experience with DoD IT environment and networks.
