Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Programmer with strong expertise in Microsoft Visual Studio, Azure SQL Server, and DevOps practices to join our team. This role combines advanced software development responsibilities with IT administration, ensuring seamless operations of our natural gas marketing scheduling application and supporting all company technology needs. The ideal candidate is a versatile professional capable of coding, deploying, maintaining infrastructure, and providing technical support across the organization. Responsibilities • Software Development & Application Support • Design, develop, and maintain the Natural Gas Marketing Scheduling Program using Microsoft Visual Studio and related technologies. IT Infrastructure & Server Administration • Perform daily onsite server maintenance, including monitoring, patching, and backups for both on-premises and cloud systems. • Manage system security, user accounts, and access permissions across the network. • Oversee network stability, hardware lifecycle, and system upgrades. Technical Support & IT Management • Act as the primary point of contact for all IT-related issues, providing hands-on support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other devices. • Ensure compliance with company policies for data security, backup, and disaster recovery. • Maintain an inventory of IT assets and manage software licensing. • Train users and provide documentation for software and IT processes as needed. • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and source control using Azure DevOps. • Optimize and maintain Azure SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability and performance. • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues in a timely manner. Experience • Bachelor’s degree, strong Programming/Information Technology experience. Preferred: • Experience in the energy or natural gas industry. • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure best practices and hybrid environments. • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Developer Associate. Work Environment & Additional Information • Full-time, onsite role with occasional after-hours support for critical issues. • Requires the ability to lift and install hardware (servers, network equipment). • Competitive salary and benefits package. • 5+ years of programming experience in Microsoft .NET ecosystem using Visual Studio. • Expert experience with Azure SQL Server, T-SQL, and database optimization. • Proficiency with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools. • Experience with server maintenance, network administration, and IT troubleshooting. • Knowledge of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies. • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills.
