Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join their innovative IT team in Baltimore, Maryland . This role will focus on enhancing their CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of their software delivery processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud platforms, containerization, and a passion for streamlining development and operations workflows. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes. Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Automate operational tasks, system monitoring, and incident response procedures. Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP), ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Collaborate with development and QA teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to build, deployment, and infrastructure. Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement and optimization. Implement security best practices throughout the DevOps lifecycle. Participate in on-call rotation for incident response and support. Document architectures, processes, and procedures. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or a related role. Proven expertise in building and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Azure DevOps). Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell). Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet). Understanding of networking concepts and security principles. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
