We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to work closely with one of our main clients in the financial sector. Main tasks and responsibilities include: • Collaborating with stakeholders within business and technology to understand needs and design data-driven solutions. • Leading strategic prototyping workshops to clarify objectives and facilitate collaboration across Global Technology Shared Services. • Understanding different approaches for building self-service and corporate BI solutions, including data sources and ETL methods. • Driving reporting efficiencies and sharing best practices, including training Power BI report designers and consumers. • Acting as a Power BI product evangelist, staying updated with technology trends, and understanding use cases and alternatives. • Contributing to the Power Platform centre of excellence by creating governance structures and assessing adoption and satisfaction. • Collaborating with product teams and UX specialists, and demonstrating a creative approach to problem-solving. What we expect from you: • Over 10 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with strong skills in data analysis, modeling, and ETL design. • Proficiency in SQL, performance tuning, and handling large data volumes. • Knowledge of enterprise big data architectures and experience developing reporting and analytics solutions using Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, SSAS, Data Lakes, Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory. • Experience with Power Platform solutions (Power Automate, Power Apps), Power BI, and understanding of the full SDLC, including Azure DevOps and Visual Studio. • Understanding of security models within data estates and good English skills (C1 level). Nice to have: • Experience in building reporting governance frameworks and driving adoption. • Experience with SAFe practices, APIs, Snowflake, various data formats, and data quality approaches. Additional details: Location: 100% remote within Spain. Work schedule: Business hours, with no intensive Fridays or summer days.
